Durning the project. i've learnt about teamwork and also how to handle personal differences with others and how to work together with different people of different set of thinking.

My contributions to the project

I did the theory for the project and helped in the discussions in doing the accpac project. I was around for most of the project meetings.

For thoery, i answered the questions regarding the idenifications of good internal control procedures that the company is practicing. And also how the computerised accounting system can further benefit the company.

Start of project

Today our group met up to do our project in the morning. We spent the morning looking through the source documents and entering them in the GL. Then after that, we went into Accpac to start the project. We did the account codes and the segement codes.

We had fun doing the project as a group, learning from each other and clarify our doubts with one another. That's what we did for yesterday.

What is computerised accounting systems? Basically, we will be taught how to use the computer software to post entries, create accounts and process financial statements. Sounds abit boring , but in this IT dominated world today, there is no escape from computers at work.

Computers are such a norm today that if someone don't know how to use computers, he or she will have to pick up the skill. It has become a part of us, so much so that we almost can't live without them. We use computers and its softwares everyday. A company can actually become crippled if there is a computer crash . This is the seriousness and the extent of computer useage in today's world.
